Introvert

The need to escape and be alone. The desire to feel at one with nature and commune with Our Father and not have another soul in sight. Or perhaps to sleep for two weeks straight!  Who can relate? Not many perhaps, but often this is me. "Peopled out" is the term bandied around for those times when introverted folks, and I presume some seriously stretched extroverted folks just need to have some time out. I love the way Mierav puts it on her..

I am glad that I am not alone. Even if I am an introvert and seek that solitude sometimes.

This image is from my local. I still marvel at being able to live 2mins from this awesome beach. God is good to me.

Hi, I am also an introvert who get's thoroughly drained through being peopled out. Is there a way of recovering quicker because it is starting to affect my work! I hate that I have to spend a day feeling pretty low after spending time with people, even nice loving people.

Would appreciate feedback. Thanks

Hi Richard,
Thanks for your comments. It is quite tricky really but I think we are a few steps ahead by actually knowing what we need to help us cope. I personally have scheduled time in for solitude, even if it is only for 30 minutes. I guess if I know that time is coming up I look forward to it and try and make the most of it. Perhaps though, we just need to dig deeper during those times when we are pretty empty, to still love others. Wishing you all the best.

I am a visual person. I find that surrounding myself in creation, feasting my eyes on what is before me and daydreaming a little is great refreshment for my soul. I also read avidly about trends, techniques and technicalities associated with visual art. When I can, I love assigning large chunks of time responding to what I see and crafting my own art. Here is a place to put that down.
