It often takes a significant event, to give you the courage to do what you have always felt you were supposed to be doing!
In 2014, I was shot in the leg whilst overseas. The lengthy recovery process enabled me to more consistently follow my dream do more formal study and practice in the creative areas that I am passionate about. However, life still sometimes gets in the way - derailing even the best laid plans - and after few years of creative drought and necessary healing, I'm slowly getting back on track!
I love a good story. The discovery of character, life and form that lie beyond a simple cursory glance. To be aware of the very essence of my subject. What a privilege to discover, spend time with, and learn from every experience. Such a joy!
I express myself visually in both photography and painting. Watercolour is my favourite medium, but I often use inks and acrylics in combined pieces.
Inspiration is often struck for me in landscapes for my photography work, and in portraits for my painting. Massive fields that I am so happy to immerse myself in, to learn and discover along the way.
