Now that I have moved to the D700, there are a few things..
Really, I should get up before the sun more often! This is the view from the bedroom door of the place I am staying when the sun rises in the morning. There may not be a beach and ocean to escape to here, but I do love how the clouds are different every dawn, the colours never seem to be exactly the same either and of course the cows in the field move around too. All I have to do is really look, and opportunities abound for great uplifting shots. Now that I have moved to the D700, there are a few things.. That I find that I need to get used to. One of them being the need to fix the vignette on this my 10-20 mm lens. When I was using it on the D7000 (crop sensor) I didn't have any of these issue. Now I find that if I process the images, I have to examine the corners and usually fix up some residue, blurring or artifacts that now appear. I do realise that this lens is not a FF lens and that I really must start looking at my options there. I am using it in the DX mode but I think I may not be getting as great results. Does anyone have any suggestions for a great wide for full Frame?

AuthorI am a visual person. I find that surrounding myself in creation, feasting my eyes on what is before me and daydreaming a little is great refreshment for my soul. I also read avidly about trends, techniques and technicalities associated with visual art. When I can, I love assigning large chunks of time responding to what I see and crafting my own art. Here is a place to put that down. Archives
